Ava G. Earle, 79 - Elizabeth

Ava G. Earle, 79, of Elizabeth, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at Camden Clark Hospital, Parkersburg. She was born November 15, 1929 in Wood County the daughter of the late Roy and Violet Lockhart. She worked as a cook at the Dupont Cafeteria for several years, JR's Donut Castle in Parkersburg for 12 years, served on the Board of Directors For the Wirt County Senior Citizens 1992-2007, and was a volunteer at the Wirt County Hope Shop for several years. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Donaldson "Judge" Earle; daughter, Janis and her husband Robert "John" Ryan of Rockport; 2 grandchildren, Jeff Ryan of Parkersburg, and Scott and his wife Aleshia Ryan of Rockport; sister-in-law, Fran Lockhart of Parkersburg. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Denver Lockhart. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday March 28 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 12-noon until time of the service on Saturday. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
