PLEASANT HILL SCHOOL TEACHING 21ST CENTURY SKILLS

Pleasant Hill's Elementary Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) has advised members of the Calhoun Board of Education of activities and directions the school is taking to improve education.

Principal Jackie Dawson told board members that the goal of the school is to have 21st Century classrooms and teach 21st Century skills.

LSIC members presented the school's five year strategic plan.

Lori Parsons presented an award to the school's Title I teachers.

Teacher Kathy Wood told board members that 93% of the schools students are performing well in reading.

The LSIC presentation was based on the state's program related to 21st Century Thinking Skills.
