Car travels several hundred feet before crashing near river

A Minnora, Calhoun couple escaped injury Wednesday morning when their vehicle left State Route 16 south of Arnoldsburg, nearly going into the West Fork River.

Sources at the scene said Paris and Orva Parsons appeared to be un-injured, after their vehicle went out of control in a sharp turn, traveling several hundred feet through a grassy bottom before crashing.

It was reported that Mr. Parsons, about 90, likely passed out, causing the incident.

Calhoun EMS and the Arnoldsburg VFD responded.
