Betty Jo Hopkins, 75 - Big Bend

Betty Jo Hopkins, 75, of Big Bend, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord March 22, 2009 at her home.

Born December 13, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Lydia Bailey Dobbins.

Mrs. Hopkins was a long time member of the Brooksville Baptist Church, where she served as children's Sunday School teacher, AWANAS leader and Sunday School secretary.

Surviving are her husband, Leo Hopkins; two daughters, Pamela (Ritchie) Richards of Grantsville, WV and Lisa (Tim) Snider of Big Springs, WV; a son, Richard (Beth) Hopkins of Big Bend; 6 grandchildren, Christopher (Stacie) Ford, Zachary Hopkins, Amber Snider, Ashlea (Daniel) Wilson, Mallory Hopkins and Ryan Snider; a step grandson, Kevin Richards; 2 great grandchildren, Christian and Trevor Ford; step great grandchild, Kamri Richards; brother, Stanley Dobbins of Jewitt, OH; 2 sisters, Eleanor Evans and Wilma Bernice Sampson both of Parkersburg, WV.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Arnold Dobbins, Jr.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Rev. Charles McDonald will officiate. Interment will be in the Hunt Cemetery at Big Bend.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
