SENIOR CENTER FOOD PROGRAMS GET BOOST FROM STIMULUS PACKAGE

(03/20/2009)
West Virginia's senior citizen centers have been struggling to fund their food programs with escalating food prices.

West Virginia will receive $680,092 from the federal stimulus package to help programs that provide meals to low-income seniors.

West Virginia will distribute the funding to meal programs at senior centers and other community sites, and to programs that provide home-delivered meals.
