Richard C. Whytsell, 76 - Arnoldsburg

Richard C. Whytsell, 76, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, died March 18, 2009 at Eldercare in Ripley WV.

He was born February 13, 1933 at Rocksdale, WV, a son of the late Fred Whytsell, Sr. and Vena Riggs Whytsell.

He was retired form Hardwood Manufacturing in West Salem, Ohio and attended the Leatherbark Church near Arnoldsburg. He was a hard worker, a good husband, and enjoyed sitting on his porch.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Marie Albanese Whytsell; one son and his wife, Jeffrey and Tammy Whytsell of West Salem; four grandchildren, Jessica, Jeremy and Tiffany Whytsell and Tyson Krebs; three sisters, Vera Madeline Wagoner, Lola Moss and Barbara Church, all of Arnoldsburg; five brothers, Donald, Fred "Joe" Jr., Frank and Ben Whytsell, all of Arnoldsburg, and George Whytsell of Lewisburg, Ohio.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Ernest Ray Whytsell; and three sisters, Imogene and Laverne Whytsell, and Juanita Batten.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, Spencer, WV, with Pastor Rick Matheny officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.

Visitation is one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
