| Clarence Bailey, 70, of Chloe, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord March 8, 2009 at Shady Rest Nursing Home in Dalton, Ohio.
He was born in Calhoun County, a son of the late Amos and Maude Groves Bailey. He was retired from the WV Department of Highways and had worked for Norris Industries for 15 years.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Phyllis Miller Bailey; one son, Daniel (Barbara) Bailey of Dalton, OH; 1 daughter, Margaret (Joe) Metz of Orma, WV; 2 grandsons, Justin Bailey of Orma and Bradley Bailey of Dalton; 2 step grandsons, Adam Layfield of Dalton and Brian (Miller) Metz of SC; 1 step granddaughter, Erin Metz of NC; brothers, Paul Bailey of Orrville, OH, Texas Bailey of Parkersburg, WV and Charles Bailey of Mt. Vernon, OH; 2 sisters, Juanita of Massillon, OH and Sue of Spencer, WV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Lee, Ray and Johnny; 2 sisters, Glenna McCune and Madge Greathouse; and 1 grandson, Nicholas.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, March 12 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Rev. Darius Arnold will officiate. Interment will be in the Orma Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
