JD HOOVER'S GRIEVANCE APPEAL REJECTED - Former Wirt School Principal Fired After Gun Problem

A state grievance board has upheld a decision by the Wirt County Board of Education to fire former middle school principal J. D. Hoover. Hoover was let go following a 2007 incident where he brought guns on to school property following a shooting accident. Hoover later returned one of the guns to the accident scene where a youth was shot, placing the gun in the woods. The WV Public Employees Grievance Board ruled there was no basis for Hoover's contention that he was wrongfully terminated. See   CHARGES FILED IN WIRT HUNTING ACCIDENT - Principal Hoover Fired
