JD HOOVER'S GRIEVANCE APPEAL REJECTED - Former Wirt School Principal Fired After Gun Problem

(03/07/2009)
A state grievance board has upheld a decision by the Wirt County Board of Education to fire former middle school principal J. D. Hoover.

Hoover was let go following a 2007 incident where he brought guns on to school property following a shooting accident.

Hoover later returned one of the guns to the accident scene where a youth was shot, placing the gun in the woods.

The WV Public Employees Grievance Board ruled there was no basis for Hoover's contention that he was wrongfully terminated.
