CALHOUN SHERIFF SEEKING APPLICANTS FOR DEPUTY

Calhoun Sheriff Allen Parsons is seeking new applicants for a deputy sheriff position. Parsons said he is working toward restoring a sheriff's department presence in Washington District, stationing a deputy at the EMS building between Orma and Minnora. The Sheriff's Department will then have three full-time deputies. The Calhoun County Deputy Sheriff's Civil Service Commission is seeking applicants interested in taking the competitive eligibility examination. The exam will be given on March 26th at 10 a.m. in the Little Courtroom at the Calhoun Courthouse in Grantsville. Applicants must submit their applications to the Calhoun County Clerk before March 19th at 3 p.m. Information, call Clerk Richard Kirby at 304-354-6725.
