Virginia G. Bennett, 88, of Devola, Ohio, died Sunday, Mar. 1, 2009, at Selby General Hospital, Marietta, Ohio. She was born in Big Bend, the daughter of the late John and Lora Richards Kellar. She attended Brooksville Elementary School. She was a member of Fifth Street Church of Christ, Beverly, and was a homemaker. Surviving are one sister, Rosalie Rea of Marietta; a nephew, Larry Kendall, who resided with her; and several other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Marcellus Bennett, at Grantsville on Nov. 29, 1991; four brothers, Therman Kellar, Richard Kellar, Charles Kellar and an infant David Kellar; and two sisters, Lara Kellar and Hazel Kellar Kendall. Services were held at McClure-Schafer-Lankford Funeral Home, Marietta, with Zack Waite and Bruce Goosman officiating, and burial in East Lawn Memorial Park.
