Vena C. Clark, 96 - Rosedale

Vena C. Clark, 96, of Rosedale, West Virginia, passed away at her home March 2, 2009. Born in Calhoun County, February 7, 1913, she was a daughter of the late General George Cottrill and Freda Dell Dillon Cottrill. She was a retired general store merchant. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Marshall Fletcher Putnam, and her second husband, Earl Clark; and one brother, Dale Cottrill. Surviving are 3 sons, Wetzel (Bea) Putnam of Arnoldsburg, WV, Van (Nancy) Putnam of Petroleum, WV, and Mike and (Darlene) Putnam of Shock, WV; 3 daughters, Rachel Johnson of Stow, OH, Delores Wright of Rosedale, and Charlotte (Richard) Frame of Wellington, OH; 4 brothers, Dove, Don, and Glen Cottrill all of Rosedale, and Eugene Cottrill of Newbury, OH; 2 sisters, Merle Jarvis of Gassaway, WV, and Ruth Kirk of Newbury, OH; 19 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren, and 32 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, March 6 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Rev. John Putnam will officiate. Interment will be in the Rosedale Community Cemetery at Rosedale. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
