Chessie F. Talkington, 81, of Newton Falls, Ohio, went home to her Lord and Savior February 27, 2009. She was born August 6, 1927 to the late Riley and Katy McCumbers. Surviving to celebrate her life are her devoted husband of 61 years, George W. Talkington; sons, Stephen (Sheila) of Cleveland, OH, and George Jr. (Susan) of Akron, OH; daughters, Helen (Zachary) Brown of Logan, WV, Karen (Edward) Thomas of Newton Falls, Patsy Abel of Cleveland, Terri (Keith) Kowalski of Shalersville, OH, and Vickie (Fred) Miller of Rosedale, WV; 16 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, Noah, Charlie, Russell, Brooks, and Ernest; and five sisters, Goldie, Maxine, Birdie, Hazel, and Mary. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, March 2nd at the Beech Grove Baptist Church at Nicut, WV. Minister Mike Brooks will officiate. Interment will be in the Beech Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday.
