E-911 LOCATOR SIGNS AVAILABLE FOR RESIDENTS WHO HAVE RECEIVED THEIR NEW ADDRESSES Calhoun County residents and businesses who have received notification of their new physical address from the USPS can now request the installation of an E-911 locator sign. The signs will be installed at or near the access point of a residence. The signs will be installed by volunteer firefighters for a $10 donation. If anyone chooses to purchase and install a sign themselves, it must be placed on the same side of the road as the home or business. Installation of the sign on a mailbox that is on the opposite side of the road from the home or business is not acceptable, as this will make it difficult for first responders to find a location in case of an emergency.
