THREE BOARD OF EDUCATION SLOTS TO BE FILLED - Filing Begins January 14

Three positions will be open for the Calhoun County Board of Education in the 2002 election cycle, according to Calhoun Circuit Clerk Sheila Garretson. The terms of Rick Fitzwater, Carlene Frederick and Juanita Berdine will expire. Fitzwater has announced he will not run for re-election. The filing fee is $25, with a two-week filing period beginning on January 14. There are two openings from each district, with the exception of Sherman, said Garretson.
