RUTH VIRGINIA DYE - Big Springs

Ruth Virginia Dye, 86, of Big Springs, WV died January 10, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Parkersburg.

She was born August 11, 1915 in Big Bend the daughter of the late Carl and Anna Keller Eagle Sheldon. She was a baptist by faith, attending school at Bell Run in Calhoun. She worked as a cook at McCoy's Restaurant at Smithville, and became owner/operator of her own in restaurant in Smithville and Big Springs.

She is survived by daughters, Doris Williams of Parkersburg (where she resided), Edith Haught of Smithville and June Haught of Big Springs; son, James Dye of Ellenboro.

Sisters, Omajean Williams of Big Bend and Wandalee Fuller, address unknown; one step great-grandchild, nieces and nephews and three great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, William M. Dye; a brother, Gaylord Eagle; five sisters, Mildred Snyder, Katherine Garrettson, Madeline Bednar, Margaret Matthess and Bonnie Kelley; also one grand-child and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, January 12, 2002 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville. Rev. Alfred Hickman will officiate. Burial will be in Goodnight Cemetery. Visitation Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m.
