Joyce Jean (Wilson) Young, 75 - Vienna

Joyce Jean (Wilson) Young, 75, of Vienna, Wesy Virginia passed away Saturday, February 14, 2009.

She was born in Big Springs, W.Va., a daughter of the late Joy and Ethel (Davis) Wilson.

She was a Protestant by faith, a homemaker and later retired as bookkeeper for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8127. She was a charter life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary 8127, Vienna, a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary 2307 and American Legion Ladies Auxiliary 159.

She is survived by four daughters, Cathy Henrie (Gail), Patsy Young-Greiner (Steve), Mary Ann Wilkes (Harold) and Donna Griffith (Roger); three sons, Michael (Karen), John (Pam) and George (Kim); seven grandchildren, Andrew Styga, Rebecca Bostaph, April Tallman, Lukas Griffith, Sam Young and Matthew and Tiffany Wilkes; six great-grandchildren, Jade, Emily, Baylee, Avery, Landon and Carter; a sister, Pat Lucas; nieces, Jenny, Pam and Debbie; and a nephew, Sheldon. Also surviving is a special daughter, Cammie Manzo; a dear friend, Annabelle Wells; and all of her "adopted" children who knew her as "Mom Young" - you know who you are.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. Young; one sister, Doratha Tingler; and a stepson, Stephen Lee Philips.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave., Vienna, with Mr. Dennis Pratt officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens. Friends may call between 5-9 p.m. today and one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.
