Minnora Couple fugitives from Ohio

A Minnora Calhoun man and woman who are wanted in Ohio on drug charges are now behind bars after being arrested in Kanawha County, Sunday.

Two adults and two children were in a car when Kanawha County deputies arrested Rachel Ann Ferguson, 30, and Gary D. Ferguson, 42.

Ohio Crimestoppers, a project of a Cincinnati TV station, said there are high bounties on some dangerous fugitives, the Fergusons, are wanted in Warren County on a number of drug and child endangerment charges.

Crimestoppers says the Corwin, Ohio couple deals drugs in front of their children and have had their 13-year-old make drug transactions.

Kanawha deputies stopped a Dodge Neon traveling on Interstate 79 near the five mile marker, according to a release from the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department.

They had their two daughters, ages 9 and 5 in the vehicle with them.

Deputies ran the adults through NCIC and discovered they were both fugitives.

They were taken into custody without incident. Deputies contacted Child Protective Services who responded to the scene and took custody of the children.

The couple are in the South Central Regional Jail awaiting extradition.
