| WVU Extension Agent Curt Garretson told the Calhoun Commission Monday there is progress in building a skate park for Calhoun kids.
"We're working on obtaining land at the Calhoun County Park," he said.
A group of youngsters and community people are meeting regularly to move the project forward, including submitting a grant to the Tony Hawk group in October.
Garretson and Bill Howley asked the commission if they would process a small $975 grant they have received from the LK Area Foundation for the purchase of eight recycling bins, which will be placed around the county.
