SPENCER DEDICATING $1.5 MILLION CITY BUILDING TODAY - Mayor Williams Says A Dream Come True

(01/09/2002)
Today is a red letter day in the City of Spencer. After decades of wishing and trying, the city will dedicate a new $1.5 million city building.

Long-time Mayor Terry Williams said it is a dream come true. "We are ushering in the new year with great promise for Spencer," he said.

A dedication ceremony will be held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. with keynote speaker Oshel Craigo (D-Putnam).

The Department of Motor Vehicles has already opened the basement half of the structure, with a large parking lot available for the two services.
