CLARKSBURG STABBING IN VA PARK - The Clarksburg Police are investigating a stabbing that happened Sunday night at the VA Park.

Police say it started when two people got into an argument over an eight year old relative and decided to settle it at the park.

Allen Compton is charged with malicious wounding, after he reportedly stabbed another man in the leg and slashed his cheek. This was after a fist fight got out of hand.

The victim's wife drove him to United Hospital Center, where he was treated and released.

MADISON MURDER - Police in Madison, Boone County, are investigating the murder of 63-year-old Charles Ferrell.

A cleaner found Charles Ferrell, who lived alone, about 8 a.m. Monday.

They believe the suspect could be someone who knows Ferrell.

SHARPER THAN A KNIFE - A Belleville, Wood County man is out on bond after police say he threatened his girlfriend with a chainsaw.

Wood County Sheriff's Officials say Brian Scott Wright used a chainsaw to break into his girlfriend's house over the weekend.

Police say the 35-year-old hit his girlfriend and then stood over her with the chainsaw running, threatening to cut her.

Wright was taken to Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital for wounds to his head and hand, where he was treated, released and arrested.

He has been charged with domestic battery and domestic assault.

FAIRMONT KNIFING - The Fairmont police are investigating a stabbing that happened Monday on the street.

At least one person was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
