COMMISSION HOLDING TAX EQUALIZATION MEETINGS IN FEBRUARY

The Calhoun Commission will be sitting as a board of review and equalization during February. They will be reviewing property tax books as presented to the commission by the Calhoun assessor. If citizens have concerns about their tax assessments, they should attend one of the meetings. Feb. 9 - 11:00-12 noon Feb. 12 - 10:00-11:00 a.m. (oil and gas issues) Feb. 18 - 4:00-5:00 p.m. Feb. 23 - 9:00-10:00 a.m. Feb. 12 Meeting - Citizens who have concerns about oil and gas taxation should call the assessor's office prior to the meeting on February 12 (304-354-6958) so the WV Tax Department can obtain information regarding the request. Oil and gas taxes are managed in Charleston.
