David Lowell Reed, Sr., 66 - Grantsville

David Lowell Reed, Sr., 66, of Grantsville, West Virginia, passed away January 28, 2009 at his home. Born in Calhoun County, he was a son of the late Loyd and Edna Pearl Shimer Reed. He was a US Army veteran. Surviving are one son, Kevin W. Reed and his wife Sue of Grantsville; one daughter, Chrystal L. Turner and her husband Brian; one sister, Euna Reed; one brother, Tim Reed and his wife Thelma; 4 grandchildren, Ashly Reed, Brandon Reed, Brian Turner and Abby Turner; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda K. Reed; a son, David L. Reed, Jr.; and a sister, Phyllis Whipkey. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, February 2nd at Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville. Rev. Carroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in the Bryner Chapel Cemetery near Mt. Zion. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
