AREA ESCAPES ICE STORMS THIS TIME

About 16,000 customers in WV are still without power after this weeks ice storms that mostly struck the Ohio Valley region. Tens of thousands of customers in WV, KY and OH have been affected in the tri-state region, some areas declared a federal disaster area, The Calhoun region managed to escape the iced power line disruption. It could be several days for power to be restored in the tri-state region, with crews coming from other states. Two weather related deaths in WV. A major ice storm struck Calhoun and parts of WV in 2003.
