| Roane County resident 32-year-old Craig Conley of Looneyville was killed and two others injured after an accident on an icy road in Jackson County Monday night.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Department says Conley lost control of the car just before a curve, causing it to slide off the road and down a steep hill in an area called Brush Run Road.
They say the car landed on its top.
Conley was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two passengers, Michael Koon and Sean Harpold, both of Roane County, were thrown from the car and taken to the hospital, reportedly receiving serious injuries.
Both are "under evaluation" at CAMC in Charleston.
