(01/21/2009)
A 24-year-old Big Springs man is in Central Regional Jail charged with wanton endangerment.

Bruce Charles Edgell (left) according to the criminal complaint, was involved in a verbal argument with his wife, Nita Marie Campbell-Edgell on January 15, which apparently led to his shooting a .22 caliber rifle in her direction inside their residence.

The police report says the shot(s) went through a wall, after making the threat to shoot her.

It further states Edgell knocked a glass jar across the room which stuck his wife in the arm, causing a small laceration.

A report indicates Edgell is also charged with domestic battery.

He is being held on $13,000 bond.
