Derrick W. Shelley, 25, of Grantsville, WV died January 1, 2002 at his home following a
sudden illness.
Born in Hampton, Virginia, he was a member of Victory Baptist Church of Grantsville.
Surviving are one daughter, Britney Shelley of Chloe; his mother, Sheila Butler of Grantsville,
his father, William L. Shelley, Jr. of Newark Valley, New York; his step-father, Billy D. Butler of
Grantsville; four brothers, Dustin Shelley, David Dodd, Jacob Dodd and John Dodd all of
Grantsville; three step-sisters, Sharma Butler, Sabrina Butler and Jessie Butler all of Elizabeth,
WV; two step-brothers, Brent Butler of North Carolina and Jacob Butler of Creston, WV; his
maternal grandmother, Lona Falls of Grantsville.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January, 4 at 11 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville.
Reverend Mike Worf will officiate. Interment will be in the Bailey Cemetery at Minnora. Friends
may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the services.
