Velda M. Whystell, 96 of Sand Ridge, died Monday, December 31, 2001 following a long illness.
Born at Richardson, Calhoun County, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Jennis Wright Ritchie. She
was retired from Rubber Fabricators, Inc. of Grantsville, was a member of the Sycamore Methodist
Church and the VFW Auxiliary.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Bessie Sutherland of Hines, WV and one son, Ed Whystell of Florence,
Wisconsin; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and six great great
grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Edwin Whystell, a daughter and six sons.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3 at 1 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville.
Reverend Caroll McCauley will officiate. Interment will be in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Grantsville.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. |
