BRAXTON WOMAN DIES IN HOUSE FIRE

A Braxton County woman is dead after a fire Friday morning. The fire broke out before 2:00 a.m. at a house on Little Otter Road outside the town of Gassaway. Firefighters quickly got on scene only to see the house fully engulfed. They discovered a woman in the house died as a result of the fire. She is yet to be identified. The State Fire Marshal's Office has been called to investigate.
