Cyril Hugh Cottrill, 73 - Arnoldsburg

Cyril Hugh Cottrill, 73, of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, passed away December 31, 2008 at his home.

Born July 9, 1935 in Gilmer County, he was a son of the late Nathan and Missouri Bishop Cottrill. He was a self employed saw mill operator and was a US Air Force Veteran of the Korean War.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Juanita Harris Cottrill; and a son, Bobby J. (Linda) Cottrill of Big Springs, WV; 2 step sons, Leroy E. (Christine) Starcher of Leroy, WV and Howard E. (Jeanie) Starcher of Speedwell, TN; 2 step daughters, Wanda L. (Keith) Bennett of Omaha, NE and Nina J. (Tim) Jones of Glenville, WV; 2 sisters, Rose Ann (Harless) Turner of Glenville and Mona Skidmore of Chesapeake, WV.

Also surviving are 9 grandchildren, Glenn Miller, Yvonne McQuinn, Johnny Kessler, Carrie Swigart, Howard Starcher, Jr., Misty Barrett, Jeramy McCumbers, Jesse Sampson and Jessica Jeffrey; 17 great grandchildren, David Leicear, Jerry Mullins, Ethan Swigart, Christa, Erin and Raven Burhans, Haylee and Ivan Starcher, Jordan and Katie McCumbers, Ciara and Ashton Miracle, Colin Dyke, Marissa and Chelsie Jeffrey, Dalton and Hunter McQuinn.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 4 at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg. Elder George Rose will officiate. Interment will be in the Rosedale Baptist Church Cemetery at Rosedale.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday. Military Graveside Rites will be provided by the American Legion Post of Spencer.
