RECESSION WATCH: 1,000 GM Jobs Gone At Moraine OH

(12/27/2008)
More than 1,000 General Motors jobs have been wiped out in Moraine OH.

The plant is closing after 27 years of producing cars, sport utility vehicles and trucks.

Some workers hugged and exchanged photos as they said their goodbyes.

Workers were told in June the plant would close.

It once was a thriving, three-shift operation.
