BARBOUR MAN CHARGED IN MURDER - Philippi City Police arrested Glen J. Corder Saturday. He has been charged with Malicious Assault and First Degree Murder.

Officers found 21 year old Karen Sue Smith of French Creek shot in the abdomen in Corder's apartment when they arrived.

Smith was pregnant at the time of the shooting.

The shooting happened at Tygart Terrace Apartment Complex in Philippi.

A .380 caliber pistol was recovered from Corder's home.

ANOTHER BAR SHOOTING - A Cross Lanes man accused of shooting and wounding three people outside a Charleston bar has been arrested.

Charleston police say 26-year-old James Edmond "Pooh" Johnson was arrested Tuesday in Cross Lanes by Kanawha County sheriff's deputies.

Johnson was charged with one count of attempted murder and two counts of malicious wounding.

The shooting occurred around 3:30 a.m. at the Country Roads Bar and Grill.

Johnson was being held at South Central Regional Jail on $250,000 bond.

CLARKSBURG SHOOTING - One man is arrested and charged with wanton endangerment after allegedly firing a gun near a Clarksburg restaurant Friday.

Police said Zachary Scott Lamm, 22, allegedly fired three shots at JC Makey's on Lodgeville Road.

The shooting happened following a fight outside the restaurant.

Lamm was sent to the North Central Regional Jail on felony charges. He has posted bond.

HUNTINGTON BAR SHOOTING - A fight inside a bar poured out onto the streets and ended in gunfire.

911 dispatchers say the shooting happened outside of Fluid, a nightclub in Huntington.

Shots were fired around 2:30 a.m. yesterday.

Police say one person was hit, the victim walked to the hospital with a gunshot wound.

An investigation is underway. No arrests have been made.
