Sheriff Allen Parsons will be returning to the post on January 1st, commencing what may be a record-breaking fifth term.

"We've had a lot of hours up and down these country roads. I thank the people of Calhoun for trusting me with the job again," Parsons said.

Parsons said he will be answering calls, with the Sheriff's Department having two deputies with at least one part-time deputy, yet to be hired.

"That's not enough for 24/7, but we'll prioritize calls and be responsive."

"The deputies will be out there doing the job," he said, providing service to the public.

Parson's said "We have pretty limited resources in our county, so we hope to maintain a harmonious relationship with officials, agencies and services."P> Parson's concluded by saying "We will always seek the help and support of the public in solving crimes."
