DonnaJo "DJ" Lindstrom, 70 - Howard, Ohio

DonnaJo "DJ" Lindstrom, 70, of Northern Spy Circle, Howard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday (Dec. 17, 2008) at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

She was born on May 28, 1938, in Marietta, Ohio to the late Don and Norma (Smith) Gibson.

DJ received her bachelor of science degree in education from Mount Union College in Alliance, Ohio, and had also attended Marietta College. She worked as a teacher and served as assistant principal in the Alliance Public School system. She was a member of the East Knox Lions Club, Sigma Kappa Sorority and served on the board of directors for New Directions in Mount Vernon. DJ has also served as past president of the Jaycettes, attended the National Aquatic School and has had several of her poems published.

She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church where she served on the vestry and served as a church Eucharistic minister, junior warden and was a past president of the Episcopal Church Women of St. Paul's.

She is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Gerald Lindstrom; a brother, Frederic (Darlene) Gibson of Springboro, Ohio; and a sister, Kathy (Gerald) Schmidt of Parkersburg, WV.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22 at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 100 E. High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050, with the Rev. Julian Eibin as celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
