MAN THROWS KNIFE AT GIRLFRIEND, STRIKES MOM - A Danville man is in trouble with the law after he allegedly threw a knife at his girlfriend during a squabble, the knife missed her but struck his mom.

Dwayne Lee Shabdue, 29, has been arrested on charges of unlawful wounding according to a criminal complaint filed in the Magistrate Court of Boone County.

Upon arriving on the scene, police encountered Dwayne Shabdue and his mother, Eugenia Shabdue, on the porch.

Eugenia Shabdue had a rag wrapped around her right hand to control bleeding, they said.

The mother raised her hands to block the knife when it hit her right hand, cutting two fingers according to the report.

KNIFE HOLD-UP IN HUNTINGTON - Police are investigating an armed robbery at a Huntington convenience store.

The "armed" was with a knife.

A clerk at the Sunoco Food Market called 911 to say she had been robbed.

The suspect was armed with a knife and wearing a black hoodie, black pants and shoes.

Police say the suspect forced the clerk to the ground and then took several hundred dollars from the register. The suspect then fled the store on foot.

CHARLESTON SHOOTING - A woman was shot in the arm Wednesday evening following an altercation in Charleston's West Side.

The shooting happened after she and a man began fighting about 7 p.m. at a residence on Washington St. West.

Another man tried to break up the fight by firing a shot in the air, police said.

Then there was a struggle for the gun and several more shots were fired, one of which hit the woman.

Her injuries are not life threatening, police said.

POCAHONTAS MAN THREATENS WITH GUN - A Pocahontas County man is behind bars after he broke into a Randolph County home and attacked the homeowner.

William Stump, age 54, is charged with wanton endangerment and burglary.

Randolph County Sheriff's Deputies says Stump broke into Robert Darley's home in Mingo, had a gun and threatened to kill him.

He then fled to his home near Snow Shoe, and that's where deputies arrested him without incident.

He's in the Tygart Valley Regional Jail.

WELLSBURG MAN ENTERS HOME - A Wellsburg man has been charged with armed robbery for allegedly entering the home of an elderly woman and taking her purse.

Wellsburg Police said Daniel Alley, 21, of Wellsburg, has been identified as the man who entered the dwelling and demanded pills from the woman. He was holding a gun.
