SPENCER MIDDLE PLACES 5TH IN WHITE FALCON INVITATIONAL

Six school teams participated in the Wahama White Falcon Wrestling Invitational Saturday Dec. 13, including Barboursville, Beverly Hills, Braxton, Huntington, Spencer, and Wahama.

Spencer Middle School earned 5th place via team points scored throughout the day. Individually, Spencer had 8 wrestlers in the finals at the end of the day.

1st @ 171#, Sam Lawson, 4-0 for the day; 2nd @ 102#, Jacob Maldonado, 4-1 for the day; 2nd @ Hwy, Caleb Starcher, 3-1 for the day; 3rd @ 78#, R.D. Monaghan, 4-2 for the day; 3rd @ 123#, Joe Copley, 3-2 for the day; 3rd @ 155#, John Ash, 3-1 for the day; 3rd @ 190#, Mikeal Free, 1-2 for the day; 4th @ 171#, Doug Smith, 1-2 for the day;

Also participating were 84# Kenneth Kudrick was 1-2, 90# Dillon Clarkson was 1-3, 95# Josh Richards was 0-3, 110# Preston Metzger was 0-3, 116# Matt Starcher was 1-2, 128# Sean Blosser was 1-4, 145# Tyler Lee was 0-4, 155#-B Eli Kennedy was 1-2, and assisting were Taylor Lee who is sidelined with an injury, and manager Riley White.

On deck, Spencer Middle's next competition is Friday & Saturday Dec. 19 & 20th, at the Jason Eades Memorial Pools Tournament, in Point Pleasant.
