TRIAD RESOURCES PRESIDENT DIES IN RENO, OHIO

A well-known oil and gas producer whose company has interests in Calhoun, Roane, Wirt, Gilmer, Clay, Ritchie and several other regional counties, has died.

Washington County, Ohio Sheriff Larry Mincks says Kean Weaver of Reno, Ohio died at his home.

Weaver was President and CEO of Triad Resources, Inc., which is involved in the exploration and development of oil and natural gas, and is also known as a developer in the Mid-Ohio Valley.

Sheriff Mincks says a preliminary investigation shows the cause of death appears to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Triad's Calhoun operation is located at Richardson.

Triad owned and operated most of the historic oil and gas fields in the region, Richardson, Wallback, Rock Creek, and Tariff among several others.

The Marietta Chapel of Cawley & Peoples Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
