 Maggie Bennett presents technology information to parents Submitted by Tami Allen Arnoldsburg Elementary School, Title 1 hosted a technology workshop for parents Tuesday, December 2, with seven parents in attendance. Technology Integration Specialist, Maggie Bennett took participants on a virtual tour of the school website. She then explained how the interactive white boards are used in the classrooms. Ms. Bennett then demonstrated some of the programs and hardware that students use at school. After sharing her own web page, which contains links to numerous educational activities, she presented information about internet safety. Progress Reports will go home December 8th. The Arnoldsburg School PTO will be holding Santa's Workshop December 10-12 for students to do their shopping. This year, gifts will be purchased from The Lil' Shoppers Gift Collection which provides over 100 items ranging in price from $.50 to $10. There will be a PTO meeting December 15th at 6:30 p.m. Calhoun High School Choir and Theatre group will perform a Christmas play for Arnoldsburg students December 18th at 1 p.m. The Christmas Program lead by Mr. Bugby will be presented on December 23rd, beginning at 9 a.m. for parents and community. Parties will begin at 1 p.m. There will be no school December 24 through January 1, 2009. |
