CONNOR'S CREW RAISE $2500 FOR DOWN SYNDROME NETWORK

(12/03/2008)

Connor Boggs, 7 year old son of Steve and Paula Boggs of Arnoldsburg, participated in the 2008 Down Syndrome Buddy Walk held at the State Capitol in Charleston, Saturday, October 11.

The Buddy Walk is sponsored by the Down Syndrome Network of West Virginia (DSNWV). The Walk was developed by the National Down Syndrome Society to promote the acceptance and inclusion of all people with Down Syndrome.

Connor had a wonderful team of 41 loved ones who supported him at the walk and many more people that support him who could not be at the walk with him. As he crossed the finish line, he was presented with a medal.

Connor's Crew, made up of family and friends, helped Connor raise $2,500 for the Down Syndrome Network of WV. Connor's Crew is already planning future fundraisers for the DSNWV.

Connor's Crew for the 2008 Buddy Walk were: Jim (Grampster) and Pauline (Nana) Ferrell; Kyle, Tracy, Addie and Jace Lancaster; Deb Mace; JoLynn, Hannah and Holly Wilson; Marvin, Millie, Stacey, Tori and Shayla Arnold; Joyce and James Williams; Rachael Tanner; Janet Marks; Denise and Bridget Carter; Connie Lane; Dave, Tina, Tiffany and Allie Brannon; John and Sue Oshoway; Renita, Katie, Marsha Benson; Don, Tami, Natalie, and Luke Allen; Steve, Paula, Chloey, Clay, Connor, and Claire Boggs.

Connor would like to thank all the people who helped raise money for this great cause and who support him everyday!
