By Janet Siers 304-655-7254 countrymebe@yahoo.com I was thankful to have a dinner, turkey and all the trimmings, with Mary Moore and her three children on Thursday in Clay County. Son's Joe, Rick and daughter Sherri, Sherri's friend Carl, Rick's children Garrett 4 years old and Shelby 9 years old. Rick drove from Columbus, Ohio on Monday killed an eight point deer in the rain and drove back to bring the children down for a great visit with their grandmother Mary on Wednesday. Joe cooked and made oyster dressings. My mother used to make it and it was a good thing to have for a change. Mary had a good visit with the grandchildren and had watercolors for then to play with. Garrett painted sticks, and they were real nice. Mary missed Braiden, Ricks stepson and wishes he had been there. Mary was happy to have all her children at home and would have enjoyed old friends coming also. Sorry I couldn't see my children on these days off but their family's are also important and it's OK. I love them. I made some good turkey soup with everything but the kitchen sink in it. Every thing's good with cornbread. Everyone have a wonder week!
