Martha Jo Conley, 67 - Looneyville

Martha Jo Conley, 67, of Looneyville, died Wednesday, November 26, 2008, at home, after a brief illness.

She was born August 1, 1941, at West Union, a daughter of the late George and Bessie Williams Watson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Paul Watson; two sisters, Willadean McKinney and Juanita Prine.

Martha Jo was a homemaker and mother. She will be remembered as a caring and good neighbor in her community.

Survivors include her husband, Harley A. "Buddy" Conley; sons, Ed Carder of Tariff, Robert Carder of Spencer, Bart Conley of North Carolina, Brent Conley and Brett Conley both of Newton; daughter, Robin Carder of North Carolina; sisters, Bonnie Swartz of North Carolina and Roxie Rollins of West Union; eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29 at 1:00 p.m. in the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial will be in the Clover Cemetery, Clover.

Friends may call Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
