Martin Metz, Jr. 76 - Orma

Martin Metz, Jr. 76, of Orma, West Virginia, passed away November 19, 2008 at Charleston Area Medical Center, memorial Division.

Born at Nicut, he was a son of the late Martin and Maude Boone Metz. He was a Christian and a member of the Walnut Memorial Church at Chloe, WV. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean war, was a former Calhoun County Commissioner and was a retired self employed timber operator and right-of-way contractor.

Surviving are two sons, Roger Metz (Jill) of Minnora, WV, and Gregory Metz (Mary Kay) of Indian Land, South Carolina; two grandchildren, Derek Martin Metz and Alyssa Metz of Minnora; a sister, Inez Carr of Mt. Zion, WV; and a brother, Frank Metz of Chloe; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Crystal Greathouse and Eucle Knotts.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Clell, Thurl, and Bruce Metz; and an infant brother, Carmel; sisters, Anna Miller Longfellow, Gertrude Perkins, Pauline Farrar, Emma Siers, and Irene Wayne.

Funeral services will be held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, November 22nd at Stump Funeral Home, Arnoldsburg, WV. Interment will be in the Minnora Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
