RICHARDS CASE SET FOR DECEMBER IN GILMER - Gary Ferrell Sentenced In Calhoun Court Action

The Gilmer County court has re-scheduled a hearing in a case against John Manis Richards of Grantsville for December 9, related to an alleged theft from Hardman Supply of Glenville. Several cases were before Calhoun Circuit Court this Monday, with the following dispositions: - State vs. Kenneth Rush, status on a competency exam, no results, continued to 12-22-08 - State vs. Jackie McCumbers, status on a competency exam, and although the results were available, the time frame called for the case to be continued to 12-22-08 - State vs. Christina Vandal, probation violation, admitted the violation charges, was reinstated to probation, probation was extended an additional year - State vs. Gary Ferrell, sentencing, sentenced to six months on an assault charge, will run concurrent with a sentence in Wirt County - State vs. Barbara Jo Walker, set for entry of a plea on 12-22-08 - State vs. Danny Walker, set for entry of a plea on 12-22-08
