GLENVILLE LOOKING FOR RESIDENTS TO SERVE ON PLANNING COMMISSION

The City of Glenville would like to revive the Municipal Planning Commission, according to Mayor John Bennett.

The commission shall appoint and prescribe the duties and fix the city, or for any part or parts thereof which constitute an effective region or regions for planning and zoning purposes without the necessity of adopting a plan and ordinance for any other part.

The Commission is empowered and authorized to recommend, to the Municipal Council, a change of or an amendment to any zoning ordinance already in effect before said Commission was created.

The Municipal Planning Commission shall consist of five individuals, all of whom shall be freeholders and residents of the Municipality, who shall be qualified by knowledge and experience in matters pertaining to the development of the Municipality, who shall include representatives of business, industry and labor.
