Youth's truck struck tree, out of sight of highway traffic

An 18-year-old Big Springs youth was critically injured early today when his truck left the highway, plunged over an embankment and struck a tree. Sources indicated the injured youth lives in Gilmer County.

The youth was taken to Minnie Hamilton Health Center by Calhoun EMS and was then transfered to Charleston Area Medical Center by HealthNet.
