Grantsville resident Pete Trippett, a 21-year Navy veteran of Korea, Vietnam and the Cold War, was the guest speaker Monday evening at the CCCOA's 7th annual Veteran's Day Celebration.

Trippett shared his memories of military life from those difficult wars with about 75 folks who attended the event at Grantsville's senior center.

World War II Army vet and music maker Willard Jones, banging 91, was the oldest veteran attending the dinner.

CCCOA Director Mike Ritchie said the event honors all veterans in Calhoun County, while recalling the military experiences of his late father, Dale Ritchie.

Ritchie presented certificates to attending veterans, following a buffet dinner.
