Steve Ray Tanner, 50 - Nebo

Steve Ray Tanner, 50, of Nebo, West Virginia, went to be with Jesus, Saturday, November 8, 2008. He was born December 15, 1957, at Gassaway, WV, a son of Dennis Brooks and Patricia Ann Tucker Tanner. Steve was a graduate of Clay County High School and a long time agent for the American Insurance Group Companies. He enjoyed hunting and especially enjoyed the company of family and friends. He attended the Nebo Baptist Church, Nebo. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Suzanne Fulks Tanner of Nebo; a daughter, Stefanie Brooke Tanner of Nebo; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Larry and April Tanner of Charleston, Jerry and Karla Tanner of Nebo; a sister, Loretta Conley of Nebo; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Ronald Conley in 2007. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 11 at 1:00 p.m. in the Nebo Baptist Church, Nebo, with Pastor Dewey Tanner and Associate Pastor Kenneth Tanner officiating. Burial will be in the Nebo Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the church two hours prior to the funeral service. John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
