Calhoun Clerk Richard Kirby said Tuesday's election had very few hitches.

"We had a really large turnout, a little over 46%, which is likely a historical record, at least in many years. Some countys reported turn-out over 65%.

Calhoun was the second in the state to have a tabulation.

"We thank all the workers who put in a long day, and the people who have worked hard to make sure the election went well," he said.
