GRANTSVILLE CIVIC LEADER DIES - Laura Morrison, 76

Grantsville civic leader Laura Morrison, 76, died December 13, 2001 at her home. She was the wife of well-known pharmicist William B. Morrision, who retired from the J & B Drug Store.

Earlier in her life she had been a member of the Grantsville Civic Club, was a Girl Scout and 4-H leader and had been a long-time member of the Calhoun General Hospital Auxilliary.

A graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College, she was a member of the Wesleyan College Emeritus Club. She was also a member of the Salem Seventh Day Adventist Church.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Susan Pitts of Grantsville and a son William G. Morrision of Cross Lanes.

Also surviving, brothers Carroll L. Ford of Indianapolis and Samuel L. Ford of Louisville.

She was preceded in death by her parents Glenn and Susie Seager Ford of Doddridge County and two sisters.

Funeral services will be Monday at 1 p.m. at the Stump Funeral Home in Grantsville with the Rev. Carroll McCauley and Rev. C. M. McDonald officiating. Burial will be in the Morrision Church Cemetery at Flatwoods. Visitation 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Sunday.
