Deer hunters heading into the woods tomorrow will have some youthful company.

For one day, 8 to 14-year-olds can join licensed adults and hunt for free.

Saturday is the first part of a split season for young people. The second part is Dec. 22-23.

Saturday is also a day for disabled hunters to get out there and hunt.

Like all hunters, youths must wear 400 square inches of blaze orange.
