BIG BEND YOUTH ARRESTED IN LOVADA RD.- BROOMSTICK INCIDENT

A Big Bend youth was arrested late Tuesday night related to an incident where he was reportedly shooting a gun near a Broomstick-Lovada Rd. residence.

Brian Leo Huffman, 19, is in Central Regional Jail after being charged with underage consumption, fleeing on foot and obstructing.

He is being held on $3,000 bond.

During the incident, a 911 caller reported two gunshots at her residence, one of which struck the family dog.

When police arrived and he was taken into custody. Huffman apparently got away and fled into the woods.

About eight or so officers responded to a call for assistance to the rural area a few miles from State Rt. 16 at Five Forks.
